Sooner or later we all sit down to a banquet of consequences. And the consequences of the delusional embrace of sunshine and breezes as power sources have been nothing short of catastrophic.
The deliberate destruction of once abundant, affordable and reliable power supplies is the central cause of the deindustrialisation of the West, wherever the wind and solar scam has taken root.
Places like Germany and South Australia have lost their industrial capacity, altogether. Thanks to crippling power bills and power rationing – all entirely self-inflicted. Both of those failed states have also rejected nuclear power: the former has shuttered all of its nuclear plants, for no sensible reason; the latter is part of a country which exports uranium hand over fist, but which has banned its use on ideological grounds of the kind advanced by snotty nosed student politicians.
Which brings us to this week’s roundup.
Frank Lasse kicks off, reporting on the consequences playing out in the US with the insane costs of heavily subsidised and chaotic wind and solar is starting to bite.

Britain is another failed state we could have added to our intro. In this post Mark Hodgson details how the UK is doubling down on its insane push for large-scale solar, in a country where both land and sunshine represent scarce commodities.

Where energy illiterates keep hating on hydrocarbons with their constant immature rants about the evils of “fossil fuels”, Ronald Stein and Yoshihiro Muronaka make the obvious point that modern, Western civilisation depends entirely upon oil, from top to bottom.

With the resurgence of nuclear power in the US, Ronald Stein reports on how the nuclear power industry is now treating spent fuel as brass to be reused, rather than muck to be dumped.

We closeout with this X post, reporting on a total calamity in the Australian state of New South Wales – where the toxic gunk left after the incineration of a solar plant has created an intergenerational environmental disaster.
Stay tuned, STT will be back next week with more.
