Alby “the Sheriff” Schultz rounds up REC fraudsters

Tell it like it is, Alan.

Here’s STT Champion, Alan Jones talking with former Member for Hume, Alby “the Sheriff” Schultz, about the REC fraud being committed by non-compliant Wind factories all across Australia.

Alan has a little radio show that more than just a few Australians tune into each morning. Syndicated through over 77 Stations and with close to 2 million listeners Countrywide – AJ as he’s known – is one of those people that leads the political charge on many issues that really affect ordinary Australians and which the rest of the press ignore.

Here is the interview:

Try making a false declaration in your tax return and see how the ATO responds.  The Feds are on you in a heartbeat and you’re hit with whopping fines and penalties and – if serious enough – or you’ve done it before – you’ll cop a spell in the cooler, for sure.

The Australian Commonwealth welfare agency, Centrelink has an entire division devoted to beating up on single mothers who try to “game” the system a little by fudging their returns and declarations – about income they might earn on the side; or about where the kid’s dad is really living.  Old-age pensioners cop the same kind of scrutiny.

Defrauding the Commonwealth by telling porkies to Centrelink attracts serious criminal penalties over peanuts.  And going hard on welfare fraud is always seen as a vote winner for pollies.

So why is it that Commonwealth agencies – like the Clean Energy Regulator – charged with responsibility for overseeing the diversion of $billions of power consumer subsidies to wind weasels, like Acciona and AGL – act as if nothing is happening?

Double standards?  Hypocrisy, maybe?  Or good old-fashioned corruption?

One thing’s for sure – as long as Alby “the Sheriff” Schultz is on their trail, they will not rest easy.

STT says: “hats off, Alby”.

  1. There is one thing for sure the little boy Macfarlane in Toowoomba has carthage instead of a back bone, not like our sheriff Alby Schultz, although his mate who has taken his place will carry on with the fight to get rid of the fraudulant wind industry.

There are a few other pollies that have good back bones as well. Take away the REC from the fans and the scam will fall over in no time.

  2. Keep your foot, on the throat of the wind weasels Alby! Don’t let up, until the squealing stops!

  3. There is one thing that I surely can say – Alby Schultz demonstrated as a politician: he was a voice for his constituents like no other.

May he remain in good health and live to see justice down with the Waubra REC fraud.

  1. […] And Maccas also been fluffing around behind the scenes trying to avoid the implementation of the Senate recommendations (from July 2011) requiring a complete and truly independent study into the known and obvious impact that noise from giant fans has on neighbours’ sleep and health.  Just before he retired from office Alby Schultz went ballistic at Macca when he heard how Macca was trying to stymie further amendments that would see that work done at wind weasel expense.  We covered some of Alby’s outrage in this post.
