All of a sudden, for some strange reason, the anti-fossil fuel rhetoric has shifted. Whereas Greta and her gang of miserable human-haters have spent every waking hour demonising oil and gas as pure evil, as soon as hydrocarbons run short, a peculiar form of self-interested panic grips, and the narrative flips. Hard to fly around the world pontificating about everyone else’s energy use, when there’s a serious shortage of avgas.
In Australia – long a victim of its own self-inflicted suicidal energy policies – diesel fuel shortages are crippling miners and farmers, alike. Meanwhile, its delusional Green/Labor Alliance has been waffling on about EVs and (non-existent) electric powered trucks saving the day. In Britain, its Labor lunatics have amped up their rhetoric about-zero emissions targets being the only answer to their energy pricing and supply crisis. Good grief, where to start?
If anything, the American and Israeli turkey shoot in Iran, and consequential restriction on the outflow of oil, has finally focused minds on the critical importance of energy, bringing Western leaders back to their senses with an almighty thump.
Which brings us to this week’s roundup.
In this video, the Global Warming Policy Foundation interviews Andrew Bowie, a British Conservative MP, smashing the net-zero emissions narrative, which has entirely smashed Britain’s energy supply.

On the same theme, UK’s Reform Party is promising to scrap the net-zero emissions madness, altogether.
The next 2 pieces – the first a speech from Net Zero Watch’s Kathryn Porter and the second from Terry Murden – focus on Scotland, where its maniacal obsession with chaotically intermittent and heavily subsidised wind power has left Scotland’s grid on the very brink of total collapse. Who would have thought?

Nick Cater draws attention to, yet another, multimillion dollar ‘green energy’ white elephant. Every solar-thermal plant (that use mirrors to concentrate solar energy at a central point, heating molten sodium pretending to avoid the natural consequence of sunset) around the globe has collapsed in financial ruin. This time, the debacle unfolded in central New South Wales.

Further to our introduction, the Germans have now caught up with energy reality (or, rather, energy reality has caught up with them) as this report from the Jo Nova team attests.

Brian McCulloch reports on a French Court decision which found in favour of another wind industry victim, who has suffered from the grinding cacophony of low-frequency noise generated by 12 of these things that were speared a mere 750 metres from her home back in 2009.
