Ireland: National Wind Energy Protest March

Residents in Ireland are appalled at the scale of Industrial Infrastructure that is occurring/proposed from a flawed energy policy. I am sure this is the same in every country where big wind has been allowed to get too close to government. The Midlands groups decided to act. We began by hosting a Wind Energy Protest March but many other groups have decided to join us and it has turned into a National March.

On the 15th of April 2014 at 11.00am groups opposed to large scale Wind Turbines, Pylons and Substations from across Ireland will unite for the first time for a peaceful protest march on the streets of Dublin. The response has been fantastic with representatives from all over Ireland pledging to attend.

We are compiling a list of Groups who support our “National Energy Protest March” as we will be producing a large sign with a list of all the groups both attending and supporting from afar for the stage area. If your group supports our march in principle and would like your groups name to appear on the sign, please let us know.

My email address is Will be going to print on Tuesday morning.

We are taking this ONE day to say NO. We need our government to put a moratorium on all energy developments until there is a rethink & review of the policy.
