For the best part of 20 years wind and solar scammers have enjoyed the benefit of legacy press support. The MSM provided helpful cover for the greatest economic and environmental fraud of all time, managing to convince the proles that an all wind and sun powered future was just over the horizon; a time when thousands of majestic turbines would lovingly caress the energy from breezes and solar cells would capture the sun’s rays and all the world’s troubles would end.
That was then, this is now.
As they say, the truth eventually gets out.
Sure, there are still propagandists peppered through legacy press outlets; and, indeed, some outfits are essentially the last redoubt for the grand wind and solar transition narrative.
But, slowly but surely, publishers and broadcasters are catching up with reality and are increasingly in favour of delivering something approximating the truth.
Which brings us to this week’s roundup.
Australia’s Channel 7 is the archetype of a legacy TV broadcaster. An outfit that once dominated free to air television with Australian football, dancing celebrity shows and foot-in-the-door exposés of dodgy small businesses. In a pleasant surprise, its Spotlight country program recently delivered 60 minute’s worth of actual facts; facts of the kind that have been off-limits for almost a generation. Here it is:

Chris Uhlmann points out that the recent pinch on international oil supplies has drawn focus on just how delusional political leadership has become. Faced with economy-wrecking fuel shortages, Australia’s Minister for Destroying Energy Independence, Affordability & Reliability, Chris Bowen reckoned that the days of fossil fuel demand are well and truly over, claiming that total electrification is a cinch and that we’ll soon be running on nothing but sunshine and breezes. In this X post (full details in the Show more link), Peter Clack exposes the wind industry’s most hated fact: far from being clean and green, the wind industry is going to litter the future with an enormous toxic legacy; a process that is already well in train.
