Donald J Trump’s address to the World Economic Forum focused heavily on the Green New Scam. The 47th President, in his usual rambling style, smashed the wind industry, hard and fast. Video of the full address is embedded above.
The biggest takeaway is that the Trump administration regards energy (meaning cheap and reliable and abundant energy) as critical for any Nation’s economic prosperity and ability to defend itself. The USA has completely recalibrated its energy policy and the contrast with Germany and Britain could not be any starker.
There were plenty in the audience – Europeans in particular – who must’ve been squirming, as Trump levelled his greatest criticism at those countries running on a mix of sunshine, breezes and pure delusion.
Which brings us to this week’s roundup.
Ronald Stein P.E. and Jimmie Dollard help make the President’s point, at a global scale, namely, that abundant and affordable energy is the key to economic development and social welfare.

Right on cue, Britain provides the kind of proof that perfectly supports Trump’s rhetorical rampage against subsidised wind and solar. In this short report, Paul Homewood shows that Britain is still determined to waste countless £billions of taxpayer’s money on chaotically delivered and obscenely expensive electricity.
