Stop These Things’ Weekly Round Up: 30 November 2025

The net-zero scam is unravelling around the world, simply because power prices are rocketing out of control and the proles have worked out why. Much to the horror of the crony capitalist crowd, the connection between crushing power prices and chaotically intermittent and heavily subsidised wind and solar was made long ago. No amount of rhetoric, propaganda or spin can reverse the trend. Politicians follow votes and voters have had enough. Anyone keen on taking government need only identify the obvious culprits and go on the attack.

Which brings us to this week’s roundup.

Jonathan Lesser does just that, identifying the principal reason why power prices rocket off the charts whenever wind and solar play any significant part in a power grid – their output depends entirely on sunshine and/or the weather.

Steve Goreham reaches the same conclusion but by targeting those US states where wind and solar dominate and contrasting them with states that continue to run on coal, gas and/or nuclear power. No prizes for guessing where power consumers pay the most.

The Energy Bad Boys, Mitch Rolling and Isaac Orr pick up the thread, noting that the inevitable supply and pricing calamity caused by the so-called wind and solar transition has seen average power prices jump more than 28% in the last 5 years across the US.

As Jo Nova reports, asbestos has long been deemed an unacceptable risk to human health and, as such, banned in all manner of domestic and industrial settings across the globe. With one glaring exception: Chinese and Danish made wind turbines which are being shipped to any country stupid enough to have set up anti-energy policies that subsidise their installation and occasional operation.

Would you like asbestos with your wind turbines from China?
