Stop These Things’ Weekly Round Up: 2 November 2025

The ‘feelgood’ net-zero emissions narrative has been shielding wind and solar scammers from proper scrutiny for years. With that narrative in political tatters, panicked rent seekers are running for cover.

The great unwashed are now alive to the staggering cost and pointless benefits (never properly defined) of cutting man-made carbon oxide gas emissions – purportedly to be achieved using nothing but chaotically intermittent wind and solar (and a few billion dollars worth of mega-batteries). Even topline operators like Bill Gates are crab walking away from the disaster they helped create. Which brings us to this week’s roundup.

We kick off with the team from Jo Nova, reporting on the sudden about face by Gates, apparently seeking to distance himself from his hitherto deranged zealotry.

Chris Uhlmann provides an update on China’s efforts to monopolise and thoroughly control access to the so-called “rare earths”, upon which the modern industrial world increasingly depends. And that includes every wind turbine and every solar panel ever made or likely to be made.

Chris Morrison reports on a study by a group of ecologists (reported in Nature) that lifts the lid on the scale of the wholesale bird, bat and bug slaughter caused by these things, wherever they operate. A story the MSM will never cover.
