Not So Safe: Spontaneous Wind Turbine Fires Pose Mortal Threat to Life & Property

STT has covered wind turbine fires dozens of times, including those which have sparked out-of-control bushfires, placing life at mortal risk.

Contrary to their ‘super-safe’, ‘clean’, ‘green’ image, giant industrial wind turbines are the perfect incendiary device.

Around the world, hundreds have exploded into in palls of smoke and balls of flame – in the process – each one raining molten metal and over 1,000 litres of flaming gear oil and hydraulic fluid (see our post here) and burning plastic earthwards.

Wind turbine fires are ten times more common than the wind industry and its parasites claim (see our post here and check out this website: http://turbinesonfire.org).

This time, the pyrotechnic action takes place in Ohio, where one of Ohio Northern University’s wind turbines put on quite a show. Having flamed out, the melting juggernaut collapsed to earth in even grander style.

Welcome to your wind powered future!

Jamie Hall, Ada village administrator, provided the Icon with several photos of the Ohio Northern University wind turbine that caught on fire early Friday morning.

His photos are posted here. Watch the Icon for additional details of the fire this week.

Don’t you feel so much safer, now?

With the TESLA car fire at “10 times safer” on autopilot than a human driver, it’s all getting a bit ‘musky’.

  2. Peter Pronczak says:

So there you go! Under a continually dumbing down compulsory education system few are exempt, even universities. For many years Uni Depts have been more interested in maintaining tenure to keep studying how to make environmental time stand still. This, while promoting by various means that industrial development is the worst thing mankind can do as it destroys the planet, and hypocritically supporting RE that is responsible for destructive idiotic environmental destruction.
No-one from a position of public authority/responsibility, has said anything against the utter stupidity of putting 226 wind turbines in a QLD state forest on ridges higher than birds fly. Apparently, any spontaneously caused turbine fire will be averted by keeping the surface of the surrounding base clean of any combustible material. As believable as them being higher than birds fly.

Dumbing down is a spiral that then also increases the rising mental instability in first world countries with their riot squads, police state governance and increasing military expenditure – many believe it entirely accidental. It’s a wonder that asbestos was banned when its dangers were known in 1928 – it was only because so many relatives of the media were dying that the move gained traction and it was banned here in 1978 – although it remained in a wide ranging Victorian geriatric and rehabilitation hospital that did the regional Meals-on-Wheels and 90 tonnes of linen service for Werribee and Geelong public hospitals along with many others with the knowledge of management, Unions and government until 1985; at a time of reusable surgical masks. Anyone who has noticed ads for BPA free food containers confirms the state of education, government and so-called opposition, by not knowing what BPA does, or as STT reported, its use was banned in Europe and Canada but exists in unknown quantity in some AU turbines and is trying to be dumped on third world countries. So where will all the food containers go and what will be the consequences on dummy and bottle suckers?

It is past time that political parties should be held legally responsible for their destructive decisions, much like industrial manslaughter laws that should be tightened.
Although such things can’t happen unless the education system is changed: There is no correlation between chronological age and mental maturity that is indicated by a social conscience, yet a person is defined as an adult based on their birthday. How stupid is that?
