Real Extinction Rebellion: Environmentalists Furious as Wind Industry Slash & Burn Entire Forests

In Germany, real environmentalists are mounting a well-drilled revolt against the destruction of forests – the natural habitat of apex predators, like the endangered Red Kite. Environmentalists are also furious at the fact that Kites, Eagles and dozens of threatened bat species are being sliced and diced with impunity across Europe.

Rural residents, driven mad in their homes or driven out of them by practically incessant turbine generated low-frequency noise and infrasound have taken their cases to law seeking injunctions and damages.

The result being is that new wind farm construction in Germany has ground to a halt: so far this year a trifling 35 onshore wind turbines have been erected.

The fact that chaotically intermittent wind power can’t be delivered as and when power consumers need it means the wanton destruction of pristine wilderness, bucolic landscapes, rural communities, and millions of birds and bats (including plenty of species on the brink of extinction) is pretty hard to justify.

There is a kind of irony in the fact that environmentalists have turned out to be the wind industry’s nemesis, given that the entire subsidy-soaked scam once traded on its ‘holier than thou’ environmental credentials.

In Germany, the wind industry’s wholesale destruction of forests has drawn the focus of environmentalists, once again, in relation to a 7 turbine project set to wipe out a square mile of Germany’s shrinking woodland.

German City Of Aachen Cuts Down Over 600 Acres Of Natural Forests To Install Seven 200-Meter Tall Wind Turbines!

What follows is an example of how German decisionmakers go about protecting the environment: chop down hundreds of acres of forests and pour thousands of tons on concrete reinforced with hundreds of tons of steel on huge beds of gravel, all hauled in by hundreds of truck loads. Then install skyscraper tall industrial bird-killing monstrosities.

Result: an idyllic forest gets turned into an industrial complex that can be seen and felt from miles away – in order to protect the climate.

It would be a gruesome task to calculate the environmental and CO2 budget for the following described wind park project in the Münsterwald forest near the western Germany city of Aachen.

When finished it will consist of 24 200-meter tall turbines in what once was a natural, forested area and undisturbed biotope.

To get to the site, a “gigantic” swatch of forest had to be cut through the heart of the forest. According to the ZDF public television report (see below), “alone here 1000 trees had to be cut down.

Largescale deforestation

And according top Rainer Hülsheger of the state association for natural landscape protection: “At least 12,000 square meters of forest needed to be cleared in order to build one wind turbine alone.”

Angry environmentalists say that the forest simply was never even suitable for a wind park to begin with. Yet, the ZDF reports how the forest belongs to the city, and so the revenue-generating project got the green light.

Threat to endangered species

The ZDF report shows the sheer insanity that it takes to install wind turbines in the middle of forests, and how they endanger rare bird species such as the black storch and red kite.

Entire biotope severely damaged

For the wind project in Euskirchen, according to the ZDF (2:35), “The planned 24 wind turbines in the co called Kammerwald cut through an entire biotope system from Rheinland towards Belgium.”

Forest is the best place, says Aachen city offical

Why are the turbines being installed in the forests? According to Aachen city official Elmar Wiezorek, placing the turbines in fields posed an even greater environmental hazard: “The forest had the least problems.”

But Herbert Klinkenberg of a citizens initiative protecting the wind projects calls it all “a catastrophe”. ZDF sums it up: “Climate protection at the expense of nature.”

  1. Interesting. Put on top of it the tonnes of vegetable and fruit pollenising insects being destroyed when the call is to eat more of them than CO2 polluting ruminants, and we have a problem that could be called the ‘new asbestos issue’ including the long term toxic effects.

That in Queensland’s AU the government has indicated implementing a modified 1938 Bradfield water diversion scheme, based on the assumption that rains will eventually come to fill the existing and planned dams and regrow the multitude of QLD, NSW fire’s destruction of mismanaged forests and destroyed agriculture due to green ideology, it is obvious they haven’t a clue what they are doing.

We and the rest of the world need the independence of water management that only nuclear energy can provide. Unfortunately, just as in thick-headed Sweden, politicians are too interested in their own back pocket to be concerned about the survival of humanity.

The mainstream media, well in on the plot of editorial direction and local stupidity, print nothing of the of RE toxicity or destruction, including photos of the extent of environmental access clearing or turbine/panel caused fires.
Who can forget all the supposed pictures of nuclear plants that were nothing more than coal fired water cooling towers with the steam supposedly being smoke.

  2. The EPBC needs to see this article along with the video so they can have vision of what is going happen and what is happening to rural Australia. So too do the residents along the Nelson to Portland Road and those living or with holiday homes at Nelson.
Devastation of the total environment including the future of the world, where ever these things are installed.
Nothing is immune because when the environment is destroyed there is a flow on effect to those who live in towns and cities.
Climate change has been a natural occurrence since this world was created, but to destroy it with the excuse they are saving it is downright disgusting, especially when considering those who benefit are doing it for one purpose – to make money.
Its time those who are pushing this process stopped and re-set their brains so they can work through and dig the truth from all the garbage they have been storing and begin to accept they have been gullible and need to take a different road.
We are beginning to see some of the environmental organisations recognising the damage being done, its not too late to speak out and demand Governments stop the destruction of our environments.
